Photographer’s Note: New York’s waterways are always busy with everything from private boats, ferries, coast guard, cruise ships and tankers, so catching this undisturbed stretch of the East River was a rare opportunity. The wobbly reflections of the city lights are in a sharper focus than the city scenery itself. This, paired with the glowing sky, creates a dreamy effect. The cloudy sky almost seems painted into this photograph.
