Sierra Snow
Limited print run. The reverse of each print is stamped for authenticity and signed and numbered by the photographer.
Photographer’s Note: I have always loved the colors of California, from the ocean blues to the desert sands. On one particular road trip, I was traveling southbound from Mammoth Lakes, a mountain town, making my way to Death Valley National Park. For much of the drive I was racing against a blizzard and feeling nervous about the road conditions. Then suddenly, it was like I was in an entirely new landscape. There wasn’t any snow on the ground and the skies were clear. When I caught a glimpse of the Sierra mountains when the storm cleared, I took a detour to get a better look. After a few twists and turns, a dirt road dead-ended at this view. In the soft light, the mountains fade into the clouds and the grasses almost look as though they were painted.
